21 May 2017
Glebe Football Club, Foxbury Avenue, Chislehurst, BR7 6HA
See location map.
13.1 miles (21.1 kilometres)
Owing to the terrain, the course is unsuitable for wheelchair entrants. Should blind runners wish to enter they would need to be led by an experienced half marathon runner owing to the length and difficulty of the course, especially the numerous tree roots along the woodland sections.
UKA race licence number: 2017–26673
Transfers will be allowed once the race limit is reached. Application for transfer is subject to an administration fee of £5 and should be made no later than midnight on the Thursday before the race. Transfers will not be processed after this time.
Should you need to withdraw from the race due to injury or illness, we will allow your entry to be deferred to the following year. Application for deferral is subject to an administration fee of £10 and should be made no later than midnight on the Saturday before the race.
Due to many of our costs being incurred up front, a refund would not be possible in the unfortunate event of cancellation. In the event that the race is cancelled or postponed we would offer free or discounted entry to a future race with the option to transfer or defer entry. The offer available would need to take into account costs incurred in organising the race and any additional costs required to organise a subsequent race.
The organisers reserve the right to cancel the race if severe weather or any other circumstances make conditions too dangerous for runners.
The event may be televised, filmed and/or otherwise recorded and photographs may be taken all of which may capture your participation in the event. You agree to the publication of such photographs, filming, recording and broadcasts and their use by us and those authorised by us in any way which we may see fit now or in the future including but not limited to film, broadcast, radio, TV, publications and publicity.
Any audio, visual, or audio-visual recordings that you make of the event or any part of it are for personal use only and may not be used for any commercial purpose.
Due to the nature of the race, the use of any equipment that impairs participants' ability to hear ambient sound during the event is not permitted. Please note that you may be held liable if found to be responsible for harm to yourself or any third party as a result of using such equipment. The use of bone conduction headsets which do not block the user's ears is, however, acceptable. Participants will be running on, near and across roads that are not wholly closed to traffic, as well as on footpaths that may be narrow in places. Participants should be aware of and responsive to what is happening around them, including: warnings, instructions, other runners, traffic, emergency vehicles, etc.. Output from personal audio players should not be audible to anyone else. We hope that participants will enjoy the race atmosphere, including social interaction, comradery and possibly even some birdsong in the beautiful natural surroundings.
